About FreedDomains
FreedDomains is a search tool for expiring and expired domains. The idea is in the name: a domain someone else once held, freed up for its next owner.
What we are building
A single place to search names that are expiring, dropping or up for auction, with the history and link data needed to judge them. You will be able to filter, shortlist, compare and export names, then buy them from the registrar or marketplace that has them.
Our rules
- We never call a name available without evidence from the registry or the seller.
- A metric we have not measured shows as unknown, not zero.
- Every listing and metric shows its source and when it was last checked.
- We use permissioned data feeds and published registry services, not scraped copies of other sites.
Where things stand
The expired domains list is live, built only on data the registries publish for this use: Nominet's daily .uk drop list and Internet Stiftelsen's .se and .nu release lists. Each name gets Wayback Machine history, our own spam score from its archived pages, and a free authority rank from Common Crawl's public web graph. We never copy other sites' lists. .com, .net and .org will follow from ICANN zone data. The demo workspace shows the rest of the planned search using made-up sample data.
