The .com character
The leader of the gang: a .com that was let go by its last owner and has been sprinting towards a new one ever since.
About the .com extension
The original commercial extension, launched in 1985 and run by Verisign. It is the most registered extension in the world, which is why short, clean .com names rarely stay free for long.

Tips for buying an expired .com domain
Short .com names with real words are the most fought over, so expect auctions or backorders for anything good. Two-word combinations and brandable made-up names are where bargains still drop every day.
Whatever the extension, check every name before you buy it: its history, backlinks and spam signals. Our domain history checklist covers each step.
Expired .com domains on FreedDomains
Expiring .com names are being added from ICANN zone files: names that leave the .com zone show up on the expired domains list with an estimated drop date. Until then, check any .com name with the domain checker.
