Domain drop date calculator
Enter a domain's expiry date to see when it is likely to enter redemption and pending delete, and when it should be released if nobody renews it.
How the dates are worked out
For generic extensions such as .com, registrars can keep an expired name for up to about 45 days. It then spends 30 days in redemption and 5 days in pending delete, so a name usually drops between 35 and 80 days after expiry. For .uk names, Nominet suspends the name 30 days after expiry and cancels it at 90 days, after which it is released.
These are typical timings, not guarantees: an owner can renew at any point before pending delete, and registrars differ. Don't know the expiry date? Use the domain checker to look it up.
