What makes a brandable name

A brandable name is short, easy to say and spell, and does not describe a product, so it can grow with a business. Patterns like CVCV (consonant, vowel, consonant, vowel) produce names that sound like real words. Our brandability score weighs the length, the balance of vowels and consonants, and hard clusters of consonants.

Before you buy

Search the trademark register and social media handles for the name, and say it aloud to someone who has not seen it written. If they can spell it straight away, it passes the radio test.

Names come only from the registries' own lists and zone files, never from other expired-domain sites.
